Shaine Mata How is your family after Hurricane Dolly?

Hey everybody. I just want to let everybody know that we did OK during Hurricane Dolly. There was no damage to the house. There were some fallen branches and a couple trees in the neighborhood. We were lucky that the nasty part of the storm veered off to the North of Edinburg. It took FM 490 West instead of US 83. We spent most of the storm without power. Even now, I'm at Jitterz posting. Thankfully, nothing eventful happened during this storm. How are all of you doing? Continue

I cannot tell you HOW many people asked me, "So does it BOTHER you that this is your LAST birthday in your 30's" UGH! NO! Actually, it really didnt bother me. For the last 5 years, Mission Paving has been sending boxes to soldiers fighting the war on terror. Sometimes we pack the boxes ourselves, or sometimes we just pay the postage for a soldiers family. Shaine Mata Help Me Pass Out MissionEagles.org Cards

I recently had some cards made for MissionEagles.org to try to bring in more members. As I go to different places in town, I'll hand them out to people. If you would like some cards to help me find more members, let me know. We can meet up somewhere and I can give you some.

My goal is to add more people from different classes or even more members from our own class. Obviously, there are thousands of people who have graduated from MHS; so why not bring them all together?

Shaine Mata Mr. Krulock

The other day, I ran into Mr. Krulock at PostNet.He says he's still teaching at MHS and that since the clsss of 1993 things have never been the same. Apparently, we were the best class to go through MHS. He invited me to go visit him at the R building; yes, there is now an R building. I'll stop by soon to see what's up. Shaine Mata Governor Perry is coming to Edinburg

I don't know how many of you like to attend political events. At work, we managed to get Governor Perry to come down to Edinburg to present the Texas Legislative Medal of Honor to the mother of Freddy Gonzalez for his sacrifice. He'll be down here on Feb. 4th, the 40th anniversary of Sgt. Gonzalez's death. Mrs Gonzalez is in her 70s and has been anxiously awaiting this event since we got it passed in the Tx House of Reps. Carina Comp USA closing its doors.

Well it looks like CompUSA is closing its doors. THe employees here have been told that they will no longer have jobs after about 6 weeks. They are sending merchandise from the other stores down here to sell/liquidate. They are already marking stuff down. The first things with discounts this week has been mainly Apple stuff. The closer they get to closing though, the bigger discounts there will be. Daniel says he has seen stuff go as far down as 80% off when a store did this in the past. Dani…
